How to Create a Sacred Pond 

1. Lay out a sheet of heavy black plastic (can be purchased by the metre at a hardware store)about the size of the pond you want. Two layers work well to ensure no leakage.
2. Place rocks and wood around the edges creating the shape you want the pond to be. The rocks are to be placed on the inside edge and outside the plastic thus pinching the upturned edges of the plastic between inside and outside rocks.
3. Make sure the upturned edges are high enough (at least 2") to be able to hold the water without it leaking over the edges.
4. Once you know the edges are safe and secure add some extra rocks, wood, branches or leaves to cover up the exposed plastic edges.
5. Now you’re ready! Pour in the water (Slowly) watching all exterior edges for possible leakage. The pond is best when the water is only about 1" deep.
6. Now add a few rocks or a small log in the middle to hold some candles or just for decorative purposes.
7. Make it look like a real pond (this helps!)
8. Things could be added each day to relate to your theme.
9. Creates a peaceful, prayerful place in the dark with lit tea lights floating in water.
